Who needs Entrepreneurship
Training?
Anyone and everyone who is interested in starting
a new business. Starting a new business is hard
work, harder than working for someone else. You
have to wear a lot of hats, the CEO, the HR Executive,
the Chief Marketing Officer, The Chief Technology
Officer, the Chief Financial Officer, and then you
have to be involved in actually delivering/ providing
the product or service that you are selling. And
then there is so much to think about: website, domain
name, legal entity, business insurance, trademarks,
employment agreements, workman’s comp, and
the list goes on.
What can Entrepreneurship
Advantage do for me?
Aside from the passion, the drive, the work ethic,
and the perseverance, which you have to bring to
the table, EA provides the rest. We give you all
the resources you need, the information, the knowledge,
the skills, the thinking process, the support, the
coaching, the networking, to help you launch a successful
business. And then with a little luck (or however
you define that unknown factor) you will be empowered
to be successful!
Is it expensive?
It definitely is an investment in your business,
in terms of both time and money. From a financial perspective,
you are only paying $22 per hour for:
- 198 hours of in class training
- 3 hours of free consulting during class
- 6 hours of free consulting for first 3 months
after class
The questions for you to evaluate
are:
- how much time and money will you have to spend
over a 3 month period trying to find the answers
to all your questions?
- how valuable is a one-stop resource?
- how valuable is it to tap into an existing
resource network?
Is it time consuming?
Absolutely! It is important that you build into
your life, for a 6 month period, an intensity that
you may not be used to. Six hours per day, three
days per week for eleven weeks you will participate
in a highly charged, fast-paced “think tank”
to develop your business plan. After the classroom
training is over, you will move into focused execution
of your plan with EA’s support for the next
three months.Starting a business is not for the faint of heart.
We are about empowering successful entrepreneurs…
people with a passion and a vision and a strong
desire to succeed!
What if I don’t get
accepted into the program?
If you don’t get accepted right away, it will
only be because we think that the best way we can
support you is to suggest you do a little more pre-work.
It could be that you may need to hone your computer
skills a bit, or put your support network in place
to help with the intensity, or it could simply mean
that you may need to focus your concept a little
more before taking the class. We will guide you
through that process so that you can re-apply, and
we will offer you other programs as an interim or
alternative step. We are dedicated to empowering people
― not rejecting or excluding them.
How do I know if my employees
are interested in entrepreneurship?
The research says that roughly 8% of dislocated
workers are interested in entrepreneurship rather
than re-employment. With the average layoff event
impacting 200 employees, it is likely that 16 or
more of your employees will be interested in starting
a business. It will be important that early in your
process you begin to communicate to your workforce
that your company is interested in empowering each
employee’s transition and offering an entrepreneurship
training alternative. Then we will host information
sessions and individual coaching sessions to help
your employees determine if entrepreneurship is
the best “next step” for them personally
and professionally.
What if it turns out that
we have many employees interested in entrepreneurship?
If your company has more than 15 employees interested
in entrepreneurship, we will customize and schedule
additional entrepreneurship classes just for your
company’s employees.
If EA is offering training
to our constituents, how will we know how they are
doing for our reporting requirements?
EA will provide tracking for each of your constituents.
We will work together to develop the criteria for
measuring progress, and EA will report on a monthly
and quarterly basis as to how your constituents are progressing
through the program and the start-up and growth
stages of their businesses.
Can EA provide consulting
support to our students?
We are interested in developing partnerships with
universities and colleges to accelerate the growth
of new business enterprises. To that end, we can
develop a relationship where your students can have
access to our resource directory, our consultants,
and our workshops and seminars.
