Small businesses are important players in the U.S. economy. They represent about a half of its output, employ about half of the private sector work force, fill niche markets, innovate, increase competition and give individuals, in all life circumstances, a change to be successful. Fueling the growth of small businesses is the increasing number of corporate mergers, acquisitions and downsizings with almost 8.8 % of discharged managers starting companies last year. Unfortunately, many of these start-up ventures were unsuccessful, some simply because effective entrepreneurship education was not available.
Entrepreneurship Advantage Inc. (EA) is a social ventures firm offering highly differentiated, tactical and hands on entrepreneurship training and consulting. EA is the catalyst, the spark ― if you will ― to create, grow and sustain new business enterprises.
We blend a perfect combination of dynamic instruction, facilitation, mentoring, small business expertise and strategic relationships to meet the needs of aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs. Through partnerships with corporations, state and local governments, economic development organizations, universities and outplacement firms, we empower dislocated, downsized and otherwise disenfranchised individuals to become economically self-sufficient, thereby revitalizing communities and creating new jobs.
Our long term vision is to be the catalyst for the creation of a powerful network of successful businesses that strengthen and support each other by sharing ideas, developing strategic alliances, creating a referral network and developing long term customer relationships.
